Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies
Blockchain technology underpins innovations like cryptocurrencies and NFTs, functioning as an encrypted and distributed database or ledger. Its core principles of immutability, transparency, and decentralization make it ideal for systems based on trust. Data on the blockchain is distributed across all nodes, ensuring transparency and preventing data alteration or deletion through Proof of Work (PoW).
Blockchain’s most prominent application is in the financial sector, exemplified by Bitcoin, a decentralized currency that offers trust and security. As technology advances and machines become more connected, blockchain technology will be crucial for enforcing regulations and ensuring secure, transparent transactions.
